Summary: The hotel is the oldest in Sydney, built in 1841, which is really cool. That being said, it does mean the building reflects its age a bit. It’s well cared for, but there is no elevator, which can make things difficult with luggage. I was helped by staff when I checked in, but not when I checked out as it was early in the morning so it took me several trips up and down the stairs from the third floor. The rooms are nice, but basic, the bathrooms are large, and the price is reasonable. It’s also in easy walking distance from the opera house and harbor, which was very convenient. The staff was wonderful, especially Harry and Saskia. Overall, I’d stay here again.
