Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lovely, tranquil location and a cute accommodation. Krishna and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our host Ashok was communicative and helpful. The area is full of wildlife, so be warned if you don’t like the idea of creatures scampering over the roof at night! We also enjoyed that it was only a half hour’s easy walk to Mount Abu centre.

Negative: I appreciate that it’s hard to keep a rural accommodation completely free of dirt and insects (we even had two small scorpions in ours!) but we arrived to find a burnt-out match and ash in the bathroom, so cleaning had not been very thorough. Also, while I was thankful for the kettle and teabags, especially late at night when I didn’t wish to disturb the staff, I made myself a cup of tea only to realise that all the creamer sachets were way out of date. Unhygienic. We weren’t too bothered about a TV, but the fact that one is advertised (with streaming channels) for the room we booked and yet is totally absent, might annoy other guests.
