Summary: Amazing stay and amazing staff at Avondrood. Our room was fabulous and well appointed. The included breakfast was great, and it was nice to have a bar on site for an evening drink. Avondrood is well located in beautiful Franschhoek and an easy to walk to restaurants and shops. My wife and I walked in the evening to restaurants in town and felt safe walking back at night. The setting within the Winelands is spectacular and Avondrood was a great jumping off point to explore many estates and wineries. Our only regret was not planning more time to enjoy the amenities at Avondrood Guest House and the small town of Franschhoek more. It is truly a gem and we would not hesitate to stay there again.
